"We will set the standard for stewardship in maintaining and creating a sustainable physical environment of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Carolina North Forest tract.  We will respond to the needs of the University and the community with professionalism, innovation, integrity, respect, and accountability.  We will manage the health of the Forest by implementing a program of responsible and best management practices.  We will proactively refine recreational uses in order to provide a high quality individual leisure experience.  Our active management efforts will facilitate further research and education opportunities for the University and the community.”
