The MVP Charter for Facilities Services is maintained in the Training Office and copies are available for committees and committee chairmen, or for any Facilities Services employee for review.

 Recognition Guidelines Minimize
Awards Guidelines - Wednesday, May 14, 2008
The Most Valuable Player Recognition Program is funded annually, coinciding with the fiscal year. The amount of funds available for each recognition group is as follows:
  • For each POSITION represented in a particular Recognition Group, there is $20 per year available. Those dollars must be allocated and spent as follows:

    • There must be no more than $10 spent for each POSITION on awards presented to winners of the various categories. Awards are such things as cash payments, in the form of payroll checks, plaques, certificates, tangible awards, gift cards, etc.
    • There must be spent no more than $10 for each POSITION on the actual events that are held. Any catering costs, food costs, decorations, etc. are examples.
  • For each POSITION represented in a particular Recognition Group, there are 2 paid time off hours per year available.

    • For example, if a recognition group has 40 positions as of July 1st, there are 80 hours of paid time off to be awarded and divided among all of the winners for that particular year.
    • Keep in mind that no employee can be awarded more than 24 hours of paid time off for all sources during the year.
