Fact: For every pound of recycled glass that goes to a glass factory, a pound of new bottles and jars is created. Fact: One North Carolina community has determined that it can save one quarter million cubic feet of landfill space just by recycling glass bottles and jars. Source Reduction: The use of refillable bottles reduces the need for glass production.
