Next time you buy paper make sure it's made with post-consumer recycled content. Fact Sheet - Office PaperFact: Paper makes up 42% of the waste going into landfills and is recyclable in almost all cases. Fact: Color paper is difficult to recycle because its dyes must be removed in the recycling process. Source Reduction: Use unbleached white paper as often as possible. Always use both sides of the paper. Some companies are providing lower grade, lighter paper that is more easily recycled. Cut down on over-use of items like colored post-it notes. Double side copies. *****Contaminants include: binder clips, food wrappers, carbon paper, photographs, newsprint, glossy magazines, rubberbands & and tape.***** Paper clips and staples are okay.
