As of
January 1st, 2006, all University vehicles hauling waste to the
Orange County Landfill will be required to display a numbered permit.
This permit will be required in order to pass over the scales and charge
the cost of the hauls to a University account or job. Please
contact the Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling at 962-1442 to
obtain a permit.
In
addition, vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight greater than
9,000 lbs., hauling waste loads of clean wood waste, metal, or
cardboard, are also required to be registered under a Recyclable
Material Collection License, under Orange County's Regulated
Recyclable Material Ordinance (RRMO). Please go
