Mixed Paper

Procedure for Recycling Mixed Paper at UNC:

1. Mixed Paper is recycled at outdoor cart sites at residence halls, Student Family Housing, and several other locations on campus.
2. The following items may be recycled as mixed paper (call 962-1442 or email if you have questions):

• junk mail
• cereal boxes (& similar packaging)
• frozen food boxes
• newspapers and magazines

Please, no wrappers, waxy, plastic coated or food contaminated paper

*Contaminants include:  binder clips, food wrappers, carbon paper, photographs, rubber bands & and tape.* 

Next time you buy paper make sure it's made with post-consumer recycled content.
